Pine bark is generally found in large pieces, which makes for a uniquely attractive look when used in gardens. Pine bark from Big Earth is longer lasting and breaks down slower over time, due to its large size. Its chief benefit is that it dramatically inhibits the growth of weeds, so you don’t need to use chemical weed killers nearly as often. For maximum benefit, spread evenly in a 2 to 3 inch layer.
