20-0-10 from the Big Earth Professional Fertilizer Series is a high quality, general purpose turf fertilizer for use on all Florida lawns. 20-0-10 contains, zero phosphorous and has a 2 to 1 nitrogen to potassium ratio which promotes healthy foliage and hearty growth. The slow release nitrogen in 20-0-10 provides nutrients to lawns for up to 2 months.
What is the suggested application rate of BIG EARTH BLEND 20-0-10?
Stewart, our resident fertilizer consultant, recommends using 5lbs of Big Earth Blend 20-0-10, per 1,000 sq ft. or 5 bags per acre.To further simplify the application rate, divide the space into a 10×10 area, which is the equivalent of 100 square feet and apply 0.5lbs or 8 ounces directly under the canopy of the plant or evenly throughout the lawn. Of course, smaller plants and grassy areas will need less fertilizer, which you can apply by hand (don’t forget gloves!) or a hand spreader.
Pro Tip: Your application rate should be based on the amount of square feet comprising the grassy area or under the canopy of the plant .
