24-0-11 from the Big Earth Professional Fertilizer Series is a turf fertilizer blended specifically for Florida lawns. 24-0-11 covers 12,000 square feet, per 50lb bag. Developed using Small Particle Technology, the micronutrients in 24-0-11 have been nanotized and statically charged. The minor elements have been pulverized into fine powder, statically charged and attached to every fertilize particle. Yeti Trax’ Innovative Nutritional Technology allows for a more uniform and even distribution of minor elements through fertilizer applications. What is the suggested application rate of BIG EARTH BLEND 24-0-11?
Bigfoot, our resident fertilizer consultant, recommends using 4lbs of Big Earth Blend 24-0-11, per 1,000 sq ft. or 4 bags per acre.To further simplify the application rate, divide the space into a 10×10 area, which is the equivalent of 100 square feet and apply 0.4lbs or 6.4 ounces directly under the canopy of the plant or evenly throughout the lawn. Of course, smaller plants and grassy areas will need less fertilizer, which you can apply by hand (don’t forget gloves!) or a hand spreader.
Pro Tip: Your application rate should be based on the amount of square feet comprising the grassy area or under the canopy of the plant .
The good news is that Big Earth Blend 24-0-11 has a coating that makes it release nitrogen very slowly, so it is difficult to over apply and damage anything. Realistically, the only way to cause damage to most plants or grassy area is to dump the fertilizer directly on the plant’s roots or in piles, rather than spreading it evenly.
