What is the suggested application rate of Big earth blend 15-0-15?
Stewart, our resident fertilizer consultant, recommends using 7lbs of Big Earth Blend 15-0-15, per 1,000 sq ft. To further simplify the application rate, divide the space into a 10×10 area, which is the equivalent of 100 square feet and apply .7lbs or 11.2 ounces directly to the lawn or grassy area. Of course, smaller areas of sod will need less fertilizer, which you can apply by hand (don’t forget gloves!) or a hand spreader.
Pro Tip: Your application rate should be based on the amount of square feet of sod.
